Intensive Independent Living Skills Treatment

Intensive Independent Living Skill Treatment provides youth ages 16 to 20 living in the community with targeted therapy and one-on-one coaching to develop a range of skills to achieve self-sufficiency.

The goal of independent living skills treatment (IILS) is attaining self-efficacy while maintaining mental health.

Young people are supported in managing their mental health and medication with a therapist while learning additional skills and practicing daily tasks with a skills coach.

The Kauai Family Guidance Center makes referrals to IILS services for three months that may be extended for a total of five months of treatment.
