Kū i ka Māna
Kū i ka Māna, meaning “to be like the one from whom you have learned,” is a transformative program that focuses on mentoring, family strengthening, and community building. Rooted in the Hawaiian values of kuleana (responsibility) and mālama (care), the program empowers youth, families, and communities to grow stronger through shared learning and mutual support.
At its core, Kū i ka Māna offers a mentorship model where experienced role models guide young individuals through a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and leadership. By fostering meaningful connections, the program instills the importance of passing on wisdom, ensuring that the knowledge gained is applied not only for personal growth but also to uplift and empower others in the community.
Youth Mentoring
Kū i ka Māna provides youth with a safe, supportive space where they can build strong, trusting relationships with mentors. These mentors serve as guides, helping youth navigate challenges, explore their potential, and develop into leaders who, in turn, will mentor the next generation.
Family Strengthening
The program recognizes that strong families are the foundation of healthy communities. Through family-centered workshops, educational resources, and support, Kū i ka Māna nurtures family connections and promotes the skills needed to foster a positive and nurturing environment at home. The program encourages family members to learn together, share their wisdom, and create lasting bonds.
