Admin Assistant
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of both the Director of Youth & Community
Empowering Supports (DYCES) and Director of Transitional Support Services (DOTSS) in keeping with the organization’s mission and values, organizes and supports the administrative functions of the departments, including files management, program support, etc.
Project Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Program Director the Project Coordinator position is a grant funded position of the Drug Free Communities Program Grant. The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination for the day-to-day operation of the DFC grant, working under the direction of the Program Director.
HHP Outreach Worker
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Housing Navigator and/or Director of
Transitional Support Services, and in keeping with the mission and goals of the agency, the HHP Outreach Worker conducts street outreach, engagement, and supportive services for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness, housing instability, couch surfing, or unsafe living conditions throughout Kauaʻi.
Accounting Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Accounting Manager manages and supports the day-to-day fiscal operations of Hale Opio Kauai in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the mission and values of the organization. This position works collaboratively with the Controller to maintain accurate accounting systems, support grant and contract compliance, prepare financial reports, strengthen internal controls, and ensure timely completion of core accounting functions. The Accounting Manager supports compliance with federal, State of Hawaii, county, and nonprofit regulatory requirements and does not currently supervise direct reports.
Shelter Supports Specialist (SSS)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Shelter Supports Specialist provides 24-hour direct care and supervision to youth ages 12–17 residing in Hale ʻŌpio Kauaʻi’s Emergency Shelter Services program. Transitional Supports Specialists are the primary day-to-day agents of change in the home, responsible for creating a safe, predictable, and nurturing environment; supporting youth with daily living skills; implementing behavior and safety plans; and modeling healthy, respectful relationships.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, Shelter Supports Specialists support crisis intervention, educational stability, family engagement, and preparation for the youth’s next placement, in alignment with Hale ʻŌpio’s mission and DHS goals.
