Victim Impact Classes

Victim Impact Classes are designed to provide juveniles on probation with an opportunity to accept responsibility for their harmful actions, personalize the offense, and develop an understanding of the impact their crime had on the victim, the victim’s family, friends, and greater community. Classes educate offenders about the emotional, physical psychological and financial impact their crimes have on victims.

The goal is to hold offenders accountable and develop empathy for their victim. Victim panels, empathy training utilizing group instruction, video and journaling exercises are included in the juvenile’s program.
